Montcalm Community College welcomes Robert C. Ferrentino, J.D. as the institution’s fifth president.
Ferrentino has more than 25 years of community college experience. He has served Muskegon Community College since 1996, most recently as its vice president for academic affairs. While at Muskegon Community College, Ferrentino was an active member in his community. He served as a member of the Whitehall-Montague Rotary Club, Volunteer Muskegon, Whitehall District Schools, White Lake Youth Sports and Lebanon Lutheran Church. He also served on the boards of several professional organizations including the Michigan Occupational Deans Administrative Council, the Michigan Community College’s Chief Academic Officers Association and others.
Previously, Ferrentino worked as an adjunct instructor, program director and instructor and director of marketing services at Lansing Community College. He also has practiced law and was employed at Ford Motor Company.
Ferrentino earned his bachelor’s degree in Marketing and his master’s degree in Business Administration from Northern Illinois University, and his J.D. from the Thomas M. Cooley Law School. He and his wife, Ronda, reside in Whitehall. They have five children, Joe Ferrentino, Katie Ferrentino, Chris Hanes, Taylor Gorecki and Amanda Gorecki.
