| 22nd Heritage Festival |
Don’t miss the variety of historical activities and displays available during the 22nd Annual Heritage Festival July 30 through Aug. 1 in Montcalm Heritage Village on MCC’s Sidney campus. The celebration features historical re-enactments and exhibits along with refreshments, music and events for all ages. Several events run all three days including historical displays in village buildings. Ragtime and boogie-woogie pianist Bob Milne returns for two shows at MCC’s Barn Theater, at 2 and 7:30 p.m. July 31. Tickets are $10 and will be available at the door beginning one-half hour prior to each performance. Contact Heritage Village Committee volunteer Ron Springsteen at 989-291-3622 for more information. The MCC Foundation’s pancake breakfast is Aug. 1 from 7 to 10 a.m. in MCC’s Activities Building cafeteria. Proceeds from the breakfast support MCC scholarships. The cost is $5 per person in advance or $6 at the door. Advance tickets are available by calling 989-328-1243. The village was established at MCC in 1986 and has grown to include more than 20 buildings and hundreds of artifacts depicting life in Michigan in the late 1800s and early 1900s. |
