Montcalm Community College students will enjoy easier transfer to Walsh College under an articulation agreement signed recently.
MCC Vice President of Academic Services William Tammone, MCC Dean of Occupational Education Rob Spohr, Walsh College Executive Vice President and Chief Academic Officer Robert L. Minter Ph.D. and Walsh College President and Chief Executive Officer Stephanie W. Bergeron signed the agreement during a recent ceremony at Walsh College’s Troy campus.
The articulation agreement allows MCC students to transfer up to 82 credits to Walsh College toward a Bachelor of Business Administration, Bachelor of Accountancy or Bachelor of Science in Business Information Technology. In addition, the partnership offers MCC transfer students an Honors Fast Track, which allows students transferring from MCC to Walsh to complete an associate degree, a Walsh Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master’s of Business Administration degree in five years, versus the traditional six years.
“Articulation agreements such as this offer a seamless process for students moving through the educational system from one institution to another,” Tammone said.
Spohr said this partnership with Walsh College is one of many that MCC has with four-year institutions.
“We have more than 25 articulation agreements in place to assist students in a variety of program areas including business, health care, restaurant and food industry management, landscape management and more,” Spohr said.
