Montcalm Community College hosts a Passport Clinic on Sept. 1.
Participants may apply for either a passport or a passport card from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. in the Beatrice E. Doser Building on MCC’s Sidney campus. A passport may be used for any type of international travel. A passport card may only be used for re-entry into the United States at land borders and sea ports-of-entry when traveling from Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean and Bermuda. A passport card may not be used for air travel.
To apply for either a passport or a passport card, participants must bring:
· Proof of U.S. citizenship -- a certified birth certificate or old passport.
· Proof of identity -- a driver’s license or state-issued photo ID.
· Two recent identical passport photos, which may be taken on-site during the clinic for $18.
· Cash or a check made payable to County Clerk for $25.
· A check or a money order made payable to the U.S. Department of State for $75, if applying for a passport.
· A check or a money order made payable to the U.S. Department of State for $20, if applying for a passport card.
A $60 fee will be charged to anyone who wishes to expedite a passport or passport card application.
The Passport Clinic is provided by the Montcalm County Clerk’s Office.
